Now that Bing has been officially launched by Microsoft in order to provide some competition in the Internet Search Engine

arena, most web users and administrators would be looking for ways to be ranked well in Bing. The answers to this issue are certainly convoluted and it would not come to any of us easily at a time like this. Certainly, Bing would not follow the Google way and would be stricter in ranking sites and blogs. Perhaps they would not operate based on linkbacks and on-site SEO but would depend on content research.

There is also a possibility that only authoritative sites would be ranked while the rest of the websites appearing in results depending on the content and its quality. This might worry many web users and site admins as their previous Live Search ranking may take a beating. Now if Bing will behave the way analysts have been pointing out, bloggers may not do really well in the results.

A search for blogs and their names returns with the home page results but when I tried for particular posts already indexed on Google, Bing did not come back with the same results for an of the combination of search keywords. This could prove to be a death knell for blogs and those who publish using blog software. Bing may not work like Google and it is actually not supposed to work like the Google algorithm.

Bing depends more on the location of the content, jobs, product reviews, travel decisions and health keywords. This may mean that content heavy blogs ma just miss the Bing boat. On the contrary, content heavy sites have the chance of being ranked well because they have been authority sites elsewhere. It may be safe to assume that the guys at Microsoft will implement nofollow and the page ranking rules are going to be stricter, and in a way it is good for respectable and deserving sites who work a lot for their content instead of spending thousands on link building and Google SEO.

Bing SEO techniques and tips may not be far away and people will definitely come up with was to increase or improving rankings and results on Bing, if it really takes off. With the SEO being set aside for a while, Bin certainly fares well when compared with Google. Of course, Google looks better and we all know how it works. However, video search results, image results and also certain keywords fare better on Bing. Moreover, Bing has an easy and customizable interface. It almost brings the same results as Google if not better, and is faster too.

However, accessing porn seems to be really easy, especially if you are looking for videos. Bing does seem like a great alternative to Google and with Google almost hogging all the search traffic, Bing would be a good balance if it is successful. Of course, Microsoft Bing may not and will not win over Google but if Microsoft buys Yahoo search, Bing certainly will be a formidable balance and that would make Internet a more democratic and competitive place.

The downsides of Bing are, one would not want to see hose weird graphics on the homepage as it looks cluttered, though it is minimalist. Many of the features seem copied from Google and there is no reason why people would suddenly switch over from Google to Bing.

However, many had been wanting an alternative search engine, especially those who feared Google’s dominance. Moreover, Bing really brings great search results in the spheres of product reviews, movie listings, weather, travel, and stock prices. For the moment, Bing may provide the competition that Google needs to stay humble, and in the coming weeks, Bign may reveal a wealth of features and advantages which have not been understood yet. Even SEO on Bing would clearer and less ambiguous.

What is The Google Sandbox Effect?

In the age of fair competition you may find it hard to believe that a search engine may hinder the appearance of a new website.

This is what is currently believed to be happening on more web servers today. Some programmers have viewed Google as uncomfortable to rank newer websites until they have proven their viability to exist for more than a period of “x” months. Thus the term “Sandbox Effect” applies to the idea that all new websites have their ratings placed in a holding tank until such time is deemed appropriate before a ranking can commence.

However the website is not hindered as much as the links that are reciprocated from other users. Newer links that are created are put on a “probationary” status until again they pickup in rank from other matured sites or placed directly by an ad campaign. The idea behind the hindrance is to prevent a fast ranking to occur on a new website. The usual holding period seems to be between 90 and 120 days before a site would start obtaining rank from reciprocal or back linking.

Some advice has been given to have companies you are going to reciprocate back add your link first to the website. This may help grandfather your site in, thus reducing the waiting time associated with “new” websites. People have noticed a 0 page rank when first signing up and receiving a bolstering 7 page ranking after 4 months. Why the delay? The fact is, that if people realized how easy it would be to get a high ranking, would that take away the credibility of the engine. It depends on whom you ask, but it does seem to be happening frequently to newer subscribers. Do not discontinue back linking, your rank will eventually appear.

Every browser shows websites differently

Websites are written with HTML or PHP. Browser has to read websites code and show webpage to us correctly. Some browsers don’t recognize very important standards like CSS2 or CSS3. That’s why websites are shown not correctly. “Acid2” test lets us know if browser recognizes all standards.

firefox

“Firefox” is the one of the best browsers around. This browser opens websites at very fast speed and has many add-ons, which can be downloaded from official website. “Firefox” is very good at pop-up window blocking.

It uses about 28 MB disk space, you can open sites in tabs, and you can easily delete your personal data. But “Firefox” doesn’t correctly recognize CSS3. That was proved by “Acid2” test.

Opera.

Browser “Opera” is available not only for PC, but also for mobile phones. A very bad thing is that “Opera” doesn’t have any help, so if you will have some questions, you will have to find answers at the internet. “Opera” is not so good at blocking pop-upwindows like “Firefox”, but it recognizes all standards correctly (CSS1/CSS2/CSS3).

Maxthon

“Maxthon” was known by “MyIE” name. This browser uses IE7 as its base. “Maxthon” just changes its appearance and adds new functions. This browser is easy to use. It also perfectly blocks pop-up windows but on the other hand, it doesn’t recognize CSS3. “Acid2” test failed.

Netscape

“Netscape” is the internet legend. It is one of the oldest browsers. But its abilities aren’t best. It blocks pop-up windows perfectly, but doesn’t have any help.

Flashpeak

“Slimbrowser” like “Maxthon” uses IE for its base. We will find not many new functions. Program looks beautiful, but it is not very clear. We can view few websites at same time and that is very good. But like many other browsers, this browser doesn’t recognize CSS3 correctly.

Avantbrowser

Another browser, which uses IE for its base. It looks better, but doesn’t have many functions. We can download add-ons, which will make “Avant Browser” better, but there are not many add-ons available. It is not good at blocking pop-up windows.

Mozilla

This web browser is very fast and powerful. We will find e-mail, website creator and other good functions. It recognizes CSS1 and CSS2 perfectly, but CSS3 not correctly. Pop-up windows were blocked. There are many extensions available.

Microsoft

“Internet Explorer” finally has tabs. It also perfectly lets us see websites in smaller size. But “Microsoft” ignored CSS standards, that’s why many websites won’t open correctly. IE works only on Windows XP or Vista.

Kmeleon

“K-Meleon” doesn’t have many functions. It is not fast. But it is easy to manage our favorites. It also perfectly blocks pop-up window, but doesn’t protect us from phishing.

Flock

This is one of the worst browsers around. We will find not many functions, but it is a very fast browser. But it doesn’t block pop-up windows perfectly. This program should become better or just disappear.

Why are Meta tags important..??

Why are Meta tags important, one reason, search engines still use
them, especially Google.  Meta tags are useful in getting better
listings in the search engines.  All of the tags, title,
description and keywords are just standard HTML code which you will
need to place on the top of each page below the HEAD section. META
tags are not necessarily recognized by search engines as vehicles
for ranking, although some still do read them and use them.  Meta
tags are not a mystery, they are simple and powerful, make sure you
use them on your site. The reason you place the keyword tags on
your page is to let the search engines know that these keywords are
relevant to your page.

Keywords should be in a descending order of importance.  When using
Meta tags you they are important because it gives the search
engines valuable information to put into their results.  Make sure
the keywords are in the title as well as in the body of the text.
Make sure you write a description about your page using specific
information and keywords, but keep it short and sweet.  Although
your keywords should all be relevant, sometimes it is best not to
be too specific.

The Meta title is important on how your website is ranked the
search engines, the search engines use this title and internet
searches will refer to this title. The title should consist of the
keywords being emphasized on the page.  Importantly, the Meta title
will be underlined in the search results.    The title tags is very
important, most search engines use this in their search results and
this is your first sales pitch to draw in the potential customer.

already in your head.  To avoid being truncated (that is, cut) by
search engines, the description should be brief – no more than 200
characters.  Your description contains your important key phrase
and key words.  If you place your description and title on each
page and make them different on each page this will increase your
chances of having all pages indexed and having your site rank well
in the search engines.  Make sure you write a description about
your page using specific information and keywords. That way, when
your keywords are searched for this description will be displayed.
